Ethic of Conduct

MRT must emphasize the value that we place on our relationship with key suppliers and other companies with whom we conduct business. The continuation of the business relationship between us is based not only on the quality and competitive cost of the products and services you provide, but also mutual trust and respect.

MRT expects all employees and suppliers to comply with our Code of Conduct and ethical expectations, regardless of local business practices or social customs. Our core business philosophy is to conduct business with uncompromising integrity and professionalism. It is important that we reconfirm this MRT’s commitment to its values.

Supplier Ethical Expectations

A pertinent section of our Ethics Policy is restated for your review that includes:

Strict Compliance with Laws: We expect our suppliers to consistently follow the applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines governed by the government. Suppliers must also comply with MRT’s ethical expectations and the Indonesia oil & gas industry supply chain code of conduct (where available and appropriate). Suppliers are requested to ensure that any of your current or new employees who interact with MRT understands our expectations for doing business with us.

Proprietary Information: We expect our suppliers to protect any proprietary data, which might be shared with them in the course of doing business with us in accordance with our agreements with them. By the same token, we shall respect the confidence you place in us when you give us information proprietary to your business and it is our goal to likewise comply with agreements with our suppliers with regard to such data.

A Positive Work Environment: Everyone wants and deserves a work place where they feel respected, satisfied, and appreciated. Harassment or discrimination of any kind and especially involving race, color. religion, gender, age, national origin, disability, or marital status is unacceptable in our work place environment. We strive to make our purchasing decisions on best value, which may include factors such as price, quality and delivery.

No actual or Perceived Conflicts of Interests: Playing favorites or having conflicts of interest--in practice or in appearance--runs counter to fair treatment and good procurement policies. Our goal is to avoid any relationship, influence, or activity that might impair, or even appear to impair, our ability to make objective and fair decisions when performing our jobs. We require our employees to immediately disclose any situations where family members, close personal friends, or former MRT employees could bias, or appear to bias, our buying or sourcing decisions.

Employee Ethical Business Conduct

Employees involving in making the recommendation, selection and awarding of order endeavor to treat all suppliers uniformly and fairly and to respect healthy competition. In deciding among competing suppliers, it is our goal to objectively and impartially weigh all facts in making an award decision and to avoid even the appearance of favoritism.
Employees are prohibited from accepting gifts or entertainment of more than token value from any company or individual, which does business with, or is seeking to do business with, MRT with the exception of advertising or promotional items of a nominal value displaying a supplier's logo. Employees are also prohibited from soliciting goods, services and cash payments for themselves or any third party from such a company or individual.

We hope the occasion never arises, but if you believe that an ethical infraction has occurred, we ask that you immediately contact us.

• Violation of the Code of Conduct can result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of supplier agreements with MRT.
• Violation of the Code of Conduct may result in MRT banning future contracts with that supplier
• MRT may seek restitution and legal action (where appropriate).
